Phoenix

That ship has sailed

Oaked, full-bodied cider with hints of vanilla and bourbon. Its relatively high abv is nicely balanced by slight sweetness and a decent tart finish.

The Story

The HMS Phoenix was a steam-powered war sloop built in 1879. The iron and wood vessel had only three-year’s service when hit bad weather just north of East Point. Despite efforts to save the ship it became lodged on East Point Reef. It was abandoned after three days. The wreck can be dived to to this day.
